A couple weeks ago there was word that the wood-fire pizza restaurant Barboncino had opened on Franklin Avenue, and now we’ve found out that another fancy pizza joint is coming to the neighborhood at 766 Classon Avenue, next door to the Glass Shop. The owner said the pizzas served will be a mix of traditional and experimental. There will also be bar seating. Unfortunately there’s no set opening date yet because there have been a number of holdups in construction, but the owner said they’re anxious to start making pies. Meanwhile, down the block at 730 Classon Avenue, the beer hall/art gallery was just approved for a liquor license by CB8. Ch-ch-changes for Classon! GMAP
