Double Wide Lot in East Williamsburg Asks $3.6 Million, Comes With Rendering

A development site in East Williamsburg at 650 Metropolitan Avenue is for sale for $3,600,000. The site, between Leonard Street and Manhattan Avenue, is one block from the Lorimer L station. It is being marketed by TerraCRG.

It comes with a plan for an 11,400-square-foot, seven-story building with 15 apartments. The lot measures 40 by 80 feet and has 14,720 buildable square feet. Click through to the jump to see the rendering of the proposed building.

Proposals in 2009 and in 2011 to alter the one-story commercial building on the lot into a five-story residential addition were rejected. In August of 2011, the lot traded from one LLC to another for $1,200,000, according to PropertyShark. The new owner submitted a plan to build six stories with 12 apartments in late 2011. That too was disapproved in 2011.

An existing one-story commercial building, previously a building supply shop, was demolished in 2012.
