Coney Art Walls Brings Kaleidoscope of Color to the Beach (Photos)

The colorful summer atmosphere of Coney Island provides a perfect background for Coney Art Walls, which just opened for its third season.

Curated by art dealer and curator Jeffrey Deitch and real estate developer Joseph Sitt of Thor Equities, the street art extravaganza features installations by an international range of artists. This year’s show includes 33 works, including installations by Crash, Eine, Lady Pink, Tristan Eaton and RETNA.

The large-scale, brilliantly colored works are, of course, popular with photographers. We’ve rounded up some favorite photos from the first weeks of the installation that capture the creative spirit of the works.

The outdoor show, located on Stillwell Avenue near Greenwood Beach, runs through September and is open from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m. daily. For more information on the event click here.
