If you’re interested in alternative art and comics, there is no better place to be than Comic Arts Brooklyn.
Hundreds of artists and publishers will gather at the annual festival, which will take place at Pratt Institute for the second year in a row (it was previously held in Williamsburg). Co-presented by Williamsburg’s Desert Island store and Pratt, the event will have a sales floor, which features publishers from all around the world. There will be public sessions, panels and performances with artists.
Some of the artists making appearances include Jim Woodring, Julie Doucet, Charles Burns and Ariel Schrag.
Outside of the main festival, there will be an artist showcase on November 9 at Flowers for All Occasions, located at 1114 Dekalb Avenue, and a movie screening on November 11 at Brooklyn Fire Proof, located at 102 Ingraham Street. Admission to all events is free.
The main event is happening on Sunday, November 11. Doors open at 11 a.m. and ends at 7 p.m. For more information, click here.
