Closing Bell: Williamsburg Walks Starts Saturday

Put on your walking shoes! This Saturday, and for the two after that, Bedford Avenue between Metropolitan and North 12th will once again shut to vehicular traffic and transform into a public space for pedestrians for the 5th year of Williamsburg Walks. While not a street fair, the organizers are quick to point out, the car-free days are a “chance to rethink our public space and enjoy a less crowded Bedford Avenue.” In the past, programming has included art, children’s games and music. The event is organized by NAG (Neighbors Allied for Good Growth). Please email if you’d like to get involved as a sponsor or volunteer.
