Former seamstress Evelyn Talarico has painted sprawling murals for the past five years around her neighborhood, Fort Greene, working mostly in Wallabout, a small section between Clinton and Flushing Avenues near the Brooklyn Navy Yard. At 63 years old, she has no formal education in painting, but felt the urge to try it after her mother passed away in Puerto Rico. Her murals are all reminiscent of Puerto Rico, where she lived until 1962. Now she is commissioned by merchants and business owners for her artwork, usually for the cost of paint.
love the mural 🙂

That’s lovely work. I wouldn’t insult it by calling it grafitti, particularly if it’s commissioned work. I hope she gets a lot more of it.
Nitpick: Clinton and Flushing intersect – perhaps you mean between the BQE and Flushing?
