Either there is a single person out there to destroy the myth of Absolut’s brownstone block, or Brooklyn itself it turning their back on Spike Lee’s apple and ginger flavored vodka. We found this commentary on an advertisement waiting for the Smith Street F as opposed to a similar ad that Miss Heather found in Greenpoint. She also spoke with someone painting the advertisement onto Bedford Ave., who informed her the block is supposed to be Crown Heights. She alerted him of the address discrepancy, which, lo and behold, he changed.

  1. “ABSOLUT® tapped one of Brooklyn’s biggest champions–filmmaker Spike Lee–to help them design the limited-edition bottle, which features a stoop numbered 165, the Cobble Hill brownstone where he grew up. The classic Lars Olsson Smith visage on the seal has also been given a hip-hop makeover with Lee’s trademark baseball hat and chunky glasses.”
