Talking with your mouth full may be an etiquette no-no, but the Northside Festival crew is planning an event in September that combines both eating and talking that Miss Manners would approve of. Called Taste Talks, the two-day gathering will “showcase the culinary cutting edge for a food-obsessed generation through symposiums, workshops, tours and discussions.” Participants will include Alessandro Porcelli of Cook it Raw, Scott Vivian of Beast Restaurant in Toronto, Roberto Solis of Merida in the Yucutan, and David Santos of Louro. There’s also going to be an All Star BBQ Cook Out with folks like Dan Barber of Blue Hill at Stone Barns and Anthony Masters of Fatty Cue. For more info, check out the Taste Talks website.
