Closing Bell: See a Slideshow of Old Bay Ridge

Tomorrow, Wednesday, Sept. 19 at 7:30 pm, local Bay Ridge historian and author Peter Scarpa will present a slideshow of historic images at the Bay Ridge Historical Society. The 35mm slides of Bay Ridge and Yellow Hook in the 1880s and at the turn of the century were duplicated from original rare glass plates taken by a brass box camera. The event is free at the Shore Hill Community Center, on 91st Street between Shore Road and Colonial Road.
