This Friday the Brooklyn Greenway Initiative is opening “Resurgence,” an exhibit celebrating the courage, resilience and strength of Brooklyn post Hurricane Sandy, with artwork by two artists affected by the hurricane. Marsha Trattner is a sculptor and Hiroshi Kumagai is a digital artist, and both are from Red Hook. Thirty percent of the exhibit proceeds will be donated by the artists to support the work of the Greenway Initiative. The opening reception will be held at BGI’s headquarters at 153 Columbia Street, on the Columbia Street Waterfront. It’s from 6 pm to 9 pm and you can RSVP at art@brooklyngreenway.org. The after party will be held at Mic Nic Lounge. The exhibit will be on display until Friday, June 7.
