Closing Bell: Participatory Budgeting Meeting Tonight

Tonight Council Member Steve Levin is hosting a Participatory Budgeting Project EXPO for Greenpoint. If you’re interested in the types of projects proposed by the participatory budgeting community delegates, tonight’s the night to hear all the details. The participatory budgeting vote will then be held the first week of April. There’s an entire $1 million of capital funds designated to participatory budgeting, and all projects are ultimately selected by the community. Here are some examples of projects selected through last year’s participatory budgeting plan. The meeting is tonight, 6 pm to 9 pm at the Polish-Slavic Center at 176 Java Street.
