Artist Martha Friedman, a sculptor obsessed with recreating everyday objects like, yes, food, has placed a seven-foot tall waffle made of foam, resin and metal on the still-green lawns of MetroTech Commons (Curbed has this one, too). The piece is on view until September 25, 2009, courtesy of the Public Art Fund. It’s called… Waffle.
