Yes, the 2 major negatives about Portland (for me) is the lack of a ton of diversity and the homeless issues which plague many of the West Coast cities. I’ve always noticed it in San Francisco, but when I was there this summer, it was just unreal how many homeless are all over that city. A lot on Portland too, but I still love it.
But the mass transportation is amazing, the housing stock is beautiful (love those craftsman houses), there are a ton of incredible restaurants (on the scale of NYC), and I’m very interested in what the city has done to contain growth to create an extremely urban (and yes, GREEN) city. I even like the weather.
i think courtney love lived there for a while (grew up there?) and said she hated it and didnt like the people.

Rob, I saw that episode over the weekend! That couple was bleh. Husband what a real estate developer who BUILT the condo they are living in and wife runs a PR firm (or so they say). What did you expect from those two?
Portland is nice…lot of homeless folks, tho.
