The shot above is one of many that Andy Vernon-Jones has taken of Red Hook in the past five years, and now he’s looking fora bit of help to publish a book of his photographs documenting the neighborhood. Here’s what Vernon-Jones has to say about his work: “My photos are taken in the streets, alleys and abandoned lots of the neighborhood. They combine a documentary approach with an art-photography sensibility. Through a look at a small corner of Brooklyn, my pictures attempt to express the beauty and struggle of life.” More of the photos can be seen on this site.
