The FAB Alliance had another free tree giveaway on Saturday morning in the Putnam Triangle (where Putnam, Grand and Fulton all come together). When we passed by at around 10:15, shortly after the 10 o’clock start time, there were hundreds of people in line, the first of them having arrived at 8 a.m. Borough President Marty Markowitz was also there to lend support. According to FAB, the last tree was handed out at 11:30. “It was a tremendous pleasure to host this event for the second year in a row right here on Fulton Street in Clinton Hill – along with our partners at “Green Fort Greene & Clinton Hill,” said Phillip Kellogg of the FAB Alliance. “There was so much positive energy in the air – it was just amazing.” (Click on any of the photos above to expand.)

No I’m not Marty (whom refused to say hello to me) Hmph. Aside from that and the cold, it was quite wonderful
