Closing Bell: Fountains of Brooklyn
For those of you who have dreamed of displaying your own fountain, a solution: Now you can adopt one, at least temporarily. ADOPT/LE-FONT is an ecologically-minded public art project (maybe a mini, homegrown version of New York’s Waterfalls?) that will place a fountain with a “host” for a week at a time, beginning September 1.

As an example of “public art” this is ugly and an pretentious (le-font, indeed)…a bunch of PVC buckets and plastic pipes with water dribbling over them. What the hell is ecological about this?
I guess you could call it a smoothly felt post-modern answer to the jagged realities of the traditional fountain experience or something.
Please fix le-link! ; )
