WNET has set out to tell the stories of current and former Brooklynites in its newest documentary series, “Brooklyn’s Best.” Executive producer Diana Maciale has put out an open call for submissions, asking anyone who cares for the borough to share their anecdotes on the project’s website. Over two dozen people have already sent in their recollections, ranging from riding a pony in 1950s Crown Heights to taking the bus to see Brooklyn’s first McDonald’s in Sheepshead Bay. The film crew from WLIW Productions also plans to walk through neighborhoods and record stories from across Kings County. “Brooklyn’s Best” is scheduled to air this fall or winter on Channel 13 and WLIW.
