Celebrate Brooklyn! is one of New York City’s longest running, free, outdoor performing arts festivals (with a couple of benefit shows thrown into the mix). Some of the shows this season include TV on the Radio, Big Daddy Kane, and even a Purple Rain screening and sing-a-long….

Some of the shows this season include TV on the Radio, Big Daddy Kane, and even a Purple Rain screening and sing-a-long. David Byrne is the first show tonight. A few years ago Celebrate Brooklyn had one paid show for “fund raising”. Now CB is up to three or is it four walled in “fund raisers”. Ninety dollar tickets and tarps on the cyclone fences to keep the regular folks from watching, more New Brooklyn elitism.
