Closing Bell: Brooklyn Bridge Park Has a Friend in Albany
Last night the Brooklyn Bridge Park Conservancy held its 9th Annual Sunset Sizzle party/fundraising event. Governor Paterson was among the attendees, and in his remarks said that Brooklyn Bridge Park “has a friend in Albany.” Proceeds from the evening go to supporting the conservancy’s free educational, recreational, and cultural programming. I thought that the governor would say something vaguely supportive of Brooklyn Bridge Park, but he went considerably further than I expected. Good news!
Thank God gay marriages will be recognized in Brooklyn Bridge park!
