The Epilepsy photos on this guys flickr page are a bit disturbing. My aunt has the same condition. Heavy stuff
This photo set features a wonderful and now-demolished Dutch homestead, btw. Nice glimpse of a vanished past…in several layers.
“everything’s better in b&w
funny that those who will love these pics the most either 1) never lived in that era and/or b) wouldn’t have been caught dead in these types of neighborhoods”
Blackstoner, actually B&W makes everything look worse. And in fact, in 1971 or 1972 I lived with a gay African American friend in Willoughby Walk and it was no big deal. It was what it was. It was good. I remember watching the WTC go up from his terrace.
As usual, Rob has no clue, and the What rules.
I would like to see some sunset park photos before the Asians moved in.
“Welcome to yesterday?”
I will bet you in a few years the retards will tell people they was born in Brooklyn…
This the Brooklyn we are going back to…
The What
Someday this war is gonna end….

Brooklyn was situated at a rather low point in the nation’s anatomy back then.
lol true. when i told my grandmother i moved to brooklyn from HARLEM she was like OMG that’s where the bad people live. no clue what she really meant by that. probably racist but probably true. all races back in the day in brooklyn were kinda gross. (sorry to say that).
*rob*
On the site of that 1855 house is now the Maimonides Medical Center Pediatric Clinic.
Oh geez, you had to bring those up!
Yes, What, I do remember them…earth shoes! I had a pair in tan/brown! UGH! LOL!
Hey, Chaap a Nosh! There’s one (or was one) on Avenue M.
Disco is dead! Rock rules! You’re right, Blackstoner, although I lived in that era, I wouldn’t have been caught dead hanging out with the Saturday Night Fever crowd. And I was from Midwood, which isn’t exactly the coolest neighborhood.
I’ll admit, I did own a pair of Jordache.
