True, there’s no actual hall involved in this particular venture, but a new Web site is paying tribute to “a small number of unique native sons and daughters who either hail from Brooklyn or have made Brooklyn their home.” Should be easier considering the influx of celebs choosing NYC’s version of the left bank. You can vote on the first five inductees, which include Lauren Bacall, Lena Horne, Norman Mailer, Jackie Robinson, Walt Whitman and Mae West, among others.

  1. howsabout Bobby Fisher and Barbara Streisand, both went to Erasmus Hall high school on Flatbush at the same time.
Barry Manilow should get a mention as well as Sid Ceasar.

Best rap song ever: PSK what does it mean? Schooly D. not sure if they were from Brooklyn, but it’s so old school they probably were or from The Bronx

Bring the Noise a close second by
    Public Enemy from Long Island.

Best rap group would have to be Wu-Tang ; Staten Island

  2. YEA Hoboken is killing people with that increase. Luckily for me I am renting from a family member with mucho money..As for BIGGie he is by far the best rapper ever. Even Jay-z says this… And I would consider JAY -z a top 3.
