Closing Bell: Bike Lanes and Organized Religion Don't Mix
The Hasidim are not the only religious group with a lack of respect for bicycle lanes. In the middle of the day yesterday on Bedford Avenue in Crown Heights, church goers were using bike lanes as their own personal parking spots—and not a ticket in sight.

benson – super funny.
Is this what Jesus would do?
I DON’T SEE ANY HASIDIM IN THE POTO.
I am so sick of all this bike lane bullsh*t!! When I was younger and at the height of my bike riding days, there weren’t any bike lanes and we rode on the streets and managed to get around just fine. So a cyclist comes up this street, sees the double parked cars isn’t going to know to go around them? Pul-leaze, enough already.
Not to say that I like double parked cars.
It looks like there’s plenty of room to bike between the double-parked cars and the yellow line.
Well, looks like the biclycle protestors will have to go topless on both Saturday and Sunday. Their weekends are shot.
If they’d ease up on the stupid rule about no parking in front of churches there’d be room for all the church-goers.
Nothing a good “keying” won’t remedy.
there is a citywide prohibition against ticketing the cars of anyone participating in organized religion.
