  1. If crime is up all these transplants may decide to go elsewhere. Maybe rents will come down a and I can finally afford to move. While I don’t want crime at the levels in the 90’s, we need something to stop this influx of people into Brooklyn. It is overwhelming to have this many non community based people living here. Going back to stop stop and frisk is not the answer. If the NYPD can let go of their scolding from De Blasio and do their jobs correctly crime will stay at a low.

  2. Bring “stop and frisk” back. As is evident from the rise in murder rates in the past 2 year, stop and frisk saved lives; and as Mr. Giuliani correctly noted, the tactic saved mainly African Americans lives.

  3. Residents of Bed-Stuy might be interested in this shooting: http://gothamist.com/2015/06/01/bed_stuy_shooting.php

I was only a few blocks away and it’s terrifying to see someone shooting an automatic (?) gun from the hip in broad daylight on a normally busy street. I’ve lived in many countries, but never have I seen anything this idiotic.

It’s also prime Bed-Stuy territory covered by Brownstoner almost daily – perhaps there should be an article about it?
