The three-day, sprawling arts extravaganza that is Bushwick Open Studios is set for this weekend. It will be the 11th year the event is held.

Begun in 2006 as a one-day event, the self-organized, all-volunteer festival is now one of the largest open studio events in the world. Previously held in June, Bushwick Open Studios moved to October last year and thousands of visitors enjoyed the cooler weather. It runs from Friday, September 22 through Sunday, September 24 this year. Opening night festivities take place Friday, with open studios, performances and panel discussions taking place throughout the weekend.

Evandro Angerami, painter, 203 Harrison Place. Angerami is collaborating on a community mural with Brooklyn Brush Studios and Annex B. Attendees can participate during the weekend.
