Brooklyn doesn’t even get a mention in the Wall Street Journal’s look at the worst areas for cellphone service in the city, but a look at the map that accompanies the article shows a band of patchy spots extending our from Downtown Brooklyn out along Atlantic Avenue into Fort Greene. Any particular spots where you tend to have trouble around town?

  1. Most cell calls you overhear on the street are about nonsense/gossip. We pay verizon/t-mobile/sprint to bore our loved ones to death with rubbish on our way home! Technology is dumbing down every aspect of our lives. Oh to be a caveman!

  2. What has happened over the course of the last fifteen years that has compelled humankind to switch from phoning their friends and family once in a while, when there was actually something to report, to speaking with them constantly every waking minute?
