Williamsburg’s Whisk to Open on Atlantic Avenue in Former Home of A Cook’s Companion
Brooklyn chefs will once again have a specialty resource on Atlantic Avenue. A sign recently popped up on the door of 197 Atlantic Avenue in Brooklyn Heights indicating that Whisk, a kitchen shop which opened in Williamsburg in 2008, would be coming to the storefront this spring. The space was formerly the home to A Cook’s Companion, which closed in February after 20 years on Atlantic Avenue.

Neighborhood Groups Call for Ouster of Landmarks Chair Srinivasan and a Halt to LPC Rule Changes
Two dozen neighborhood groups have signed onto a letter calling for the replacement of the Chair Meenakshi Srinivasan and halting the proposed rules changes being considered in a public hearing at the Landmarks Preservation Commission today.
