Brooklyn Inn: Same as Ever, Just Better

For the past week, rumors have been flying about the Brooklyn Inn (It’s closing! No, wait, it’s turning into a bistro!), but it looks like the truth is a lot more palatable, if less sensational. We popped by for a drink over the weekend, and the bartender told us that the owners of Manhattan’s Magician and Tile Bar hadn’t bought the Inn, as some reports had claimed: Those owners are already the building’s landlords, and they’re simply stepping in to make a couple of changes. The only one we’ll notice, the bartender said, is the removal of the pool table from the back room and the addition of some chairs. We’re all for it, since it should alleviate the cramped conditions back there—witness the scene from Saturday night. Hopefully there will be no surprise twists to the story.
Curious Case of The Brooklyn Inn [Eater]
The Brooklyn Inn is one of my favorite places. I think they should put in a dart board.
Table’s no great loss, considering you had to use the short stick half the time because of the close quarters. And small tables are for babies, anyway. If you must shoot on a bar table, Angry Wades’ is much better, in any case. So … what else are they going to do?
better if you don’t like pool, i guess. if you do — that really sucks.
