Get some tips on owning a home and take a peek inside some fabulous interiors at the annual Bed Stuy House Tour.

Sponsored by local organization Brownstoners of Bedford-Stuyvesant, the event on Saturday, October 19, aims to raise awareness about homeownership and neighborhood history as well as raise funds for scholarships.

The day begins with a free homeownership workshop from 9 to 10:30 a.m. and is followed by a bazaar with local vendors and artists from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Both events take place at the Boys and Girls High School at 1700 Fulton Street in Bed Stuy, which is also the starting part for the tour.

The self-guided house tour runs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. To find out which houses are on the tour you will need to present a ticket at the starting point and receive a brochure with all the details. The brochure is required for entry into each of the homes on the tour.

Until the end of the day on Friday, October 18, you can purchase $25 tickets online or in person at local spots such as Peace & Riot at 401 Tompkins Avenue, Bed-Vyne Wine at 370 Tompkins Avenue or Moshood at 1360 Fulton Street. If tickets are still available the day of the tour, you can purchase them for $30 at Boys and Girls High School. For all the details on the day visit the event page.
