Brooklyn Flea Re-Opens in Fort Greene on April 18
With almost two months of The Flea’s Dumbo residency behind us and March almost here, it’s time to start thinking about the move back outdoors and to Fort Greene. With almost two months of The Flea‘s Dumbo residency behind us and March almost here, it’s time to start thinking about the move back outdoors and to Fort Greene. The big change for the 2009 season is that The Flea’s Fort Greene location will operate on Saturdays instead of Sundays. Opening day will be April 18th, a couple of weeks later than last year in the hopes of getting some better weather than last year. Meanwhile, both indoor spaces on Front Street in Dumbo will continue on both Saturdays and Sundays through April 12th, after which point they will run on just Sundays for the foreseeable future.
Well, now I won’t be able to shop at the flea market on shabbos…just kidding…lapsed…I’ll go.
I guess we’ll stroll to the green market at the park which the H.U. doesn’t mind too much and then I can drag him through the flea market and he’ll pull ahead and put on that “I’m a dog that wants to go home now” face.
Sometimes it’s just better if I go to the flea alone! :o)
Excellent. My wife and I have been discussing and hoping that you guys would stay in Dumbo once the outdoor one came back. There will be a ton of people down there during the summer and I am sure the vendors will be happy to be there. Congrats on expanding and thanks!

to the church member above, are you guys going to do something about the double and triple parking that your members have always perpetrated on sundays (even pre-flea days)?
We’ll be back. Our new line of home decor made from architectural salvage is phenomenal and we are selling it as fast as it’s made. Last summer our top seller at the flea was our own line, followed by antique furniture, we will have to hire another person to make it. See you then.
