Brooklyn Coronavirus Update and Open Thread: Mixed Signals (4/7/20)

We’re in the fourth week of sheltering in place and the 12th day of distance learning for New York City schools.

The official coronavirus death count continues to drift down, an encouraging sign that social distancing may be flattening the curve. However, the numbers may merely reflect who is getting tested, as deaths from unconfirmed coronavirus cases were also high but are not included in the official numbers, Gothamist reported. Without widespread testing, we have no way of knowing.
