Free movies rule – the ones at McCarren Pool the past summer were really good. Nothing like watching 28 Days Later on a blanket with a 40 and Fette Sau BBQ
This line-up typical of what you get when your choices are limited to movies with minimal cursing, no nudity and won’t go over the head of your average six-year-old. Hey, it could be worse.

Is it because you dislike the classics? Maltese Falcon is one of Bogart’s best, and To Catch a Thief is one of Hitchcock’s better films and the best acting Cary Grant or Grace Kelly did. And who can hate Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid? It’s some of Paul Newman and Robert Redford’s best work.
They’re all great movies but why does it seem every free movie fest has the same movies over and over again. I must have seen these 10 times already- I love them, but I’d rather see something new or rarely seen
Paper Moon is pretty amazing for its time
YES Overboard!!!!! that movie rocked! i think HBO in the late 80s played it 10x a day everyday for years.

ps. the one where Goldie Hawn fell off a boat is Overboard.
