  1. Borough Prez Adams and this administration have ZERO credibility when it comes to pointing fingers at “bad landlords” –> NYCHA is the worst landlord in the city by far and btw – has anyone been to the HPD offices? if their inspectors walked their own offices, they would get hundreds of violations.

I also would like these electeds to explain to me how you can only grant 1% increases on below market rents when real costs are rising as 5%+ per year and expect these buildings to be maintained? Can these electeds please take a basic math or economics course

    • where are the city council that are supposed to help and make NYCHA accountable. Try reaching out to city council Robert Cornegy about this issue and you’ll never hear back. But then you’d see him at Community Board 3 promoting himself and talking up his achievement for the month, which are usually useless and add nothing to the community.

  2. This administration is a joke and is in no position to criticize private landlords. Has anyone seen the ugly, dilapidated likewise housing projects (Lexington Ave near Marcy) where NYCHA spent millions of dollars redoing the roof. The building is falling apart, yet Deblasio throws away millions of dollars on the roof rather than knocking it down and rebuilding.
All those tenants crying about being priced out of their beloved neighborhoods could’ve bought multiple houses when they were practically giving them away. And why does the city keep raising property taxes, water rates and allow utility increases yearly if it won’t allow landlords to make fair increases.

    • Fully agree with you.
How about a town hall meeting that focuses on the affordable housing buildings that are terribly managed by management companies that for the most part, I believe, get their contracts by being connected to the administration.
Or possibly a town hall meeting that focuses on coming up with a solution for all the delays on the A/C train. Every week, there are huge delays on this line; today the delay was about an hour.
Or possibly focus on the crime rate in the area.
