Heads up, Brooklyn gardeners. The annual Brooklyn Botanic Garden Plant Sale will return to the garden’s Cherry Esplanade next month. The event will have thousands of plants up for sale, and bills itself as offering “largest collection of plants in the metropolitan area.”

Some special features at this year’s sale native plants to the northeast, particularly those that attract pollinating insects such as bees. There will also be water conserving succulents for indoor gardeners and lots of orchids as well.

In addition to the sale itself, there will be talks and experts on hand to provide advice and answer questions for patrons attending the sale. Some of the events will include lectures on how to plant your own window box, design your home or garden with annuals, and how to use houseplants in any situation.

The sale is a benefit for the Botanic Garden and visitors must pay for Botanic Garden admission to attend the sale.
