There’s beauty to be found year-round at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden, and this winter you can soak in the scenery for free. Free winter weekdays have begun at the garden and will run through February.
Wander around the 52-acre site on a quiet winters day and enjoy the scent of pine and the pops of color from holly bushes and winterberry. If you are craving warmth you can head into one of the conservatories like the Tropical, Desert or Warm Temperate pavilions.

This winter the Eastern Parkway entrance to the garden is closed, so head to the entrances at 990 Washington Avenue or 455 Flatbush Avenue. Free admission is on weekdays only, Tuesday through Fridays. Opening hours for the grounds, conservatory and cafe vary. For more details and the full calendar of winter programs head to their website.
