In addition to the opportunity to snap up some literary gifts, there will be activities for budding young authors. Writer Rachel Barclay and Writopia Lab, a non-profit that provides creative writing workshops for ages 6 to 18, will be providing some writing-themed fun — children will be able to craft their own short stories and engage in some literary games. While drop-in participation anytime between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. is welcome, if you want to reserve a spot for your young writer, click here.

If you were hoping to gift a signed copy of a New York book this season, make sure to be at the holiday book fair at 12:30 p.m. when author Jeremiah Moss will be signing copies of his recent book ‘Vanishing New York: How a Great City Lost Its Soul.’
The book fair takes place on Saturday, December 2 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Old Stone House at 336 3rd Street in Park Slope. For more information on the event, click here.
