Brooklyn Artist Explores Social Justice, Intersection of Humans, Nature in Bed Stuy Show
Artist Paul Sue-Pat’s solo exhibition ‘Earth and Sky’ fuses painting, design and sculpture.
The work of Bed Stuy artist Paul Sue-Pat will be on view at a new exhibition.
Opening November 8 at 2AC Space, the Bed Stuy gallery Sue-Pat runs in his former home and studio, “Earth and Sky” is a solo exhibition of work that explores themes of social justice and the intersection of humans and nature. Working across a variety of mediums including painting, design and sculpture, each piece is the result of the artist’s process of finding new materials and textures to use as raw material.
Operating since at least 2012, the gallery has shown work by Brooklyn artists such as photographer Felice Gee and sculptor and painter Sun Young Seo, among others. Located at 2 Alice Court, the show runs through December 7. There’s an opening reception on Friday, November 8 from 6 to 10 p.m.
