sad day in the heights with all that noise.
I love it when they buzz hte roof tops. hehe i been watching this since my childhood for 20 yrs. i grew up in brooklyn . it was one of the only cool things that happen in brooklyn back than hehe.
Cheap shot Hal.And you should be impressed- those are some of the top pilots in the military. And guess who is also ensuring the gas supply for your SUV?
I watched them make a few passes up and down the Hudson River this morning from my workplace on 11th ave. Six jets in tight formation. Quite impressive, really. The rest of their party is over in Iraq making sure there’s plenty of fuel for more such exhibitions.
if you think that noise is bad, wait until the proposed park comes to the quaint heights area, not to mention the influx of people going to Ikea and Fairway in Red Hook – it’s gonna loose it’s charm.
There was a group of very loud bi-planes that also flew over lower Manhattan in formation. Any idea what they were?
Likewise–I had no clue what the hell was going on. I do think post 9-11 it would be good to give the communities they’re practicing over a head’s up.
(I’m on Willow @ Cranberry.)
I thought of 9/11, too. It was unbelievably loud – shook the rooftops here. For a minute, I thought the electro-magnetic pulse Desmond released on last night’s LOST was having some real-world reverberations.
I truly panicked – shades of September 11th.
