Blizzard Open Thread

I have a couple of husbands. They have their good points and bad.

Re husband, yesterday I had that thought, not when I was shoveling at midnight or driving through the frozen tundra, but in the morning when I tried to get onto the roof to make sure that there were no leaves stuck in the gutters before the onslaught.

The hatch sits on the opening like the the top of a box. So basically I had to push with all my might with one arm to push off the hatch while hanging on the ladder. This with swollen wood making it hard to take off, then balancing myself as I pushed the freaking thing to the side and crawling through to check the roof. Fine, but then back down again and the one armed hatch job again trying to get the freaking lid back on, one-handedly.

Too much. Most men just seem to slam that thing off – my arms hurt today. Sigh.

I second rf on lee bros. Lorenzutti is also great but lee bros is cheaper and more reliably at work and available. Just different shades of good though. Both are honest and do good work.

ok -hubby said when he was out walking there was an abandoned 18 wheeler who couldn’t make the left up Union STreet from 6th avenue (heading towards 7th) -anyone know if he got out?
also why the hell was he ON 6th avenue?

Heather – am sure with regards to baby stuff, it would be helpful – but everything else is making my mind numb!
