After all the buzz earlier this week about the jerk shrimp at Bed Stuy’s Brook’s Valley, we’ve been craving some spicy Caribbean fare — but who is serving the best jerk chicken (or shrimp, as the case may be) in the borough? We’ve heard good things about Danny’s (771 Flatbush Avenue, pictured above), and we recently had a pretty solid meal of jerk chicken and fiery-hot jerk veggie-chicken at Stir It Up (514 Atlantic Ave between Nevins Street and 3rd Avenue). Any other suggestions?

  1. My vote is for Mike’s International Restaurant at 552 Flatbush Ave., near Maple Street in Prospect Lefferts Gardens. Unlike many places with similar food, Mikes is a real sit-down, white tablecloth restaurant (although they also have a tak-out place with a separate entrance.
