According to the Brooklynian’s Park Slope messageboard, an Australian-style bar and restaurant called Sheep Station is now open on the corner of 4th Avenue and Douglass. According to local blog Gumby Fresh, “The menu consisted of green salad, beet and manchego salad, Australian burger (cheesburger with beet, pineapple, and fried egg), cheeseburger, lamb sandwich, lamb cutlets, mussels, fish and chips, and oysters.” Has anyone been by yet? And, in the words of one Brooklynian commenter, “Is this the beginning of the gentrification of 4th Ave?”

The Sheep Station Restaurant was excellant. I came all the way from Ottawa, Canada when I heard about it and loved it immensely. Food, clientele and most of all owner/co-host, Martine made it just the best time ever for me and my friends. I will definitely be back the next time I visit NY.
