At $55, tickets for “A Slice of Brooklyn,” a borough-wide pizza tasting tour, aren’t cheap but according to James Doran, a writer for the Times of London, “Over the years in New York, I have taken countless friends and relations on different guided tours of Manhattan, but ‘A Slice of Brooklyn Pizza’ beats them all.” The Brooklyn-born tourguide Tony Muia’s “encyclopaedic knowledge of the area, film and Italian food is enough to satisfy the most ardent historian, film buff and gastronaut combined,” and the trip includes free pizza at Grimaldi’s and L&B Spumoni Gardens. Has anyone else checked this out?
Slice of Brooklyn Pizza Tour is on Mondays and Fridays, 11am. Tickets ($55) must be bought in advance. See www.bknypizza.com or call 212 209 3370.

It IS delicious, but you can’t run a scheduled tour waiting for a DiFara’s pizza to come out of the oven.
Yes, and that “burnt” pizza will be the most delicious thing you’ve ever tasted. DiFara’s is hands down the best pizza in this city. No one else even comes close.
You would have to wait all day to get a burnt pizza at DiFara.
What, no Totonno’s? No DiFara? There’s no pizza in the world like DiFara. Frankly, (and I know this will probably come back to haunt me), I don’t think L&B is all that good.
