574 4th Avenue: The Full Monty
We took a look at progress on the big 4th Avenue rental near the expressway only a few weeks ago, but since then the construction netting on the project has all come off. And there…it is. It’s visually symmetrical in the same way a Rorschach Ink Blot Test is except in this case I really do see the devil’s penis.
I’m not an architect, but I would guess “pretty much everything”.
@IMBY – “Any architects willing to school us on what went wrong with this building?”
This building gives Yellow Bricks a bad name
Only blond haired blued eyed people are allowed to live there, so that leaves all of you out.
This has to be the ugliest building on 4th Ave, and they are all ugly, but this one takes the cake. The silver windows are horriffice. I also agree with everyone else, yellow bricks should be abolished. They are sickening. The railings are also horriffic. I just hate thie look of this building
I believe the owner of this building is the owner of the skinny brown building on Carroll and 4th, and also the owner of the red brick buildings on 4th and President.
Apparantly he has no taste to design.
2 points-
1. There is nothing positive I can say about the look of this building – I mean truly nothing
2. It will have no bearing on how/if/when the units inside sell/rent
Nicely outdated before it even opened.
You can all get me back by making fun of Omaha on some future thread. I love it there, and the Midwest in general.
For the record, also like Texas.
Are you saying that people from Houston and Jacksonville have no taste? It looks like this building is in Brooklyn to me.
