297 Vanderbilt Avenue, a narrow but historically intact brownstone on the Clinton Hill/Fort Greene border, was a House of the Day back in September 2009 when it had just hit the market asking $1,495,000. (It had been on the market for a little while in 2007 with pie-in-the-sky price tags of as much as $2,000,000.) Well, it took a long time, but the two-family house finally closed for $1,549,000 on June 18.
