I don’t care if it was $50, a used sofa would never be worth it, no matter its provenance.
For everyone quibbling over the price of a used George Smith sofa, there’s an old expression, ” Pearls before Swine”.
Its not my cup of tea but if its in great shape, its a -steal-.

Yeah, price is crazy for an upholstered piece in fair condition. If you covet George Smith, which are really nice trad sofas, they have very good sales throughout the year–on floor samples as well as custom pieces.
that’s how far 10 grand gets you in furniture these days? truth be told it looks like a nice piece but 3k for a sofa someone has already farted on a god knows what else in this economy? good luck with that one…
I saw this and said to myself, “who would buy a used couch in fair condition for $3,000?” Especially with the bedbug problem.
