Estimates have come in for a new flat roof and two out of the three roofers have insulation as a standard part of their bid. The least expensive bid does not include insulation and that roofer says it is an add-on, not a standard recommendation. Is it worth the immediate money savings by skipping the insulation or will the homeowner regret not taking the opportunity to add insulation during the roof installation?

Please chime in with your advice.
