From the Forum: How Do I Fix Flaky Cellar Walls?

A Brownstoner reader’s cellar walls are flaking dust and other material, and there’s a bit of moisture coming in as well. What’s the best way to fix this and prevent moisture?

Commenters have suggested sanding and sealing the walls to fix the flaking, and a dehumidifier for the moisture, among other ideas. Have any advice to add? Share your thoughts below.
