From the Forum: Can a Contractor Bill for Change Orders That Were Never Approved?
Homeowners are faced with a bill from their contractor that includes change orders that were never approved. What are their options?

After a cornice project nine months behind schedule was finally completed, homeowners were shocked to receive a new bill with charges for work that was never approved. The contractor billed them more than $10,000 for items that were outside of the original contract. The need for the additional work was never brought to their attention. What recourse do they have now that the work has been completed?
