From the Forum: What Is the Best Way to Seal Up a Chimney?
If a fireplace is no longer in use, can the chimney be sealed to keep soot from getting into the house?
A reader is looking to prevent soot from from escaping down the chimney and into the house. The fireplaces are decorative, so the reader is hoping there is a way to seal off the chimney and eliminate the mess.
