From the Forum: How Can You Find Out About Local Zoning Restrictions?

A reader is concerned about the future development of a lot next door to their Brooklyn home. The lot has been sold and they would like to be able to investigate what zoning restrictions might apply to new construction but are not sure where to start the research.
