Homeowners weren’t aware that the backflow prevention device installed during their rehab needed to be inspected every year and now they are facing a fine.
Homeowners weren’t aware that the backflow prevention device installed during their rehab needed to be inspected every year and now they are facing a fine. They have a single family home but suspect that because they have a fire prevention system the annual inspection is required.
Should the homeowners schedule an inspection before the May appearance dictated by the summons? What else should they know in moving forward?
Please chime in with your advice.
